Book Review: Across the Universe

Book: Across the Universe

Author: Beth Revis

Rating: ★★★★★

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone-one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship-tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn’t do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed’s hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there’s only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

Sci-fi/dystopian/mystery book. 3 in 1 book, like an instant coffee!

This is the first book I’ve ever read and finished. I like the idea of Godspeed, an airship floating in the universe searching for Centauri-Earth. I like all of the high-tech thingy in Godspeed. This book made me a bookworm! At first, I was puzzled by its first few chapter. But as I flipped those pages, I realize that this book is super duper amazing! The story is well-made. I love all of the twists and revelations in each chapter.

I think this book really deserves 5 out of 5 stars. Because of this book, I want to be astronaut and go to outerspace! Haha! I frexing want the second installment! I’m so excited to know what will happen to Amy and Elder!
